Johnny Depp looks up at The Passion of the Christ above it.

Secret Window

Powered by Johnny Depp, Secret Window opened to a solid estimated $7.1 million Friday. Stating the obvious, the internal multiplier should fall somewhere in between the 3.1 earned by Pirates of the Caribbean and the 2.66 Once Upon a Time in Mexico had. We'll lean toward the high end and give Secret Window a 2.95 multiplier which gives it $20.9 million for the weekend.

Agent Cody Banks 2

With an estimated $2 million Friday, the kiddie spy sequel will not approach the $14 million to which the original opened. Give it the same 3.68 multiplier last year's movie had, and we get a $7.3 million weekend.

Spartan

The latest David Mamet film earned a spartan $633,000 on Friday, so figure around a $2 million weekend followed by a quick trip to DVD.

The Passion of the Christ

It's off 42.6% from last Friday, but Jesus Christ will remain a box office superstar for at least one more weekend. With its now expected Saturday bump and above average Sunday earnings, The Passion is looking at another $30.5 million in the collection plate after the weekend.

Notable Holdovers

In its second weekend, Stiller and Wilson, er, Starsky and Hutch has a Friday-to-Friday decline of 43%. It figures to drop around 40% from last weekend's total.

Hidalgo falls 42% from last Friday and the Viggo Mortensen film also looks to have a 40% decline for the weekend.
