This is an absolutely HUGE frakkin week with a ton of Secret Invasion and Final Crisis books hitting the shelves. Also hitting the shelf this week is Runaways Vol. 3 #1 from writer Terry Moore and artist Humerto Ramos, I'm really looking forward to that one myself.

Runaways Season 3 #1
I've got to agree with Pete here with regard to Runaways. The series was started by Brian K. Vaughan, and if you've never picked it up and read it, run, don't walk, to buy the trades. I say this with one qualification. Despite the fact that I am the hugest of Joss Whedon fans, when he takes over the series, it goes...badly. Part of the trouble was the fact that the books tended to run months apart, but I was never terribly happy with where he took the story, either. Terry Moore, who got off to an excellent start with Season Two of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, takes the reigns for Runaways Season 3, and I have to think that there's a lot of promise based on interviews I've read with him so far. This is really the only book I care about this week, to be frank (though I'm in the process of catching up on Secret Invasion and Final Crisis).

Echo Volume 1 - Trade Paperback
Speaking of Terry Moore, I'm pretty excited to pick up this book, now out in trade. The story centers on a woman who witnesses the explosion of a pilot and his battle suit. The pellets from the explosion shower her pick-up truck, and she soon discovers that these pellets have bonded to her skin. It begins to cause changes to her body, and soon the testers of the suit have sent someone out to track down the heroine. It sounds pretty exciting, and I'll definitely be reading it so I can catch up to the current series.
