The show doesn't seem that exciting. Do they ever at least play Halo or something?

Welcome to How to Spend $20, BOP's look at the latest DVDs to hit stores nationwide. This week: Tokyo gets wilder, Joaquin Phoenix goes nutso and Entourage keeps pumping out new episodes.

Pick of the Week

For people who don't even want to know what would happen if Michel Gondry and Guillermo del Toro teamed up to make a movie together: Tokyo!

With one of the most memorably awesome trailers to date, Tokyo! was one of those artsy/experimental/totally avante-garde movies I wouldn't have minded seeing had I not at the time been living in the middle of a movie graveyard. Seriously, if a movie contains even an ounce of creativity that alters its overall grade from utter mindlessness to something that popular culture should have the decency to save, it's probably not going to play in theaters.

I exaggerate. But not by much.

For people who like watching Joaquin Phoenix be blazed out of his mind: Two Lovers

At first glance, I'd say I'm having a bit of trouble remembering what this thing was. Sure, it's a romcom with Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow, I at one point saw the trailer and yada yada.

But what's undoubtedly crystal clear to me was Joaquin's infamous Late Show appearance in mid-February to promote the feature. The man was out of his mind. Or merely the next great Andy Kaufman – it was never really confirmed. Unfortunately, no Two Lovers DVD bonus features address his totally weird and bizarre "stunt".

Disc includes: Audio commentary, Behind the Scenes featurette, deleted scenes, HDNet: A Look at Two Lovers featurette, photo gallery

For people who are intrigued by the decision to cast Will Ferrell as a guest star with the name Ashley Schaeffer: Eastbound & Down: The Complete First Season

HBO's got an interesting business model going on at the moment. While it continues renewing its smash hit shows – True Blood, Big Love – for the obvious reason of their ability to attract boffo numbers, the pay cabler at the same time keeps significant faith in its cultish series like Flight of the Conchords and Eastbound & Down. I'm all for networks renewing their faith in quality, entertaining programming – I still miss you, Arrested Development! – yet the maneuver has really allowed its lead rival, Showtime, to gain some ground on the once thought to be insurmountable HBO.

With that said, HBO announced just a few weeks after Eastbound & Down's first season finale that the series would be renewed for a second season.

Disc includes: Making Eastbound & Down featurette, audio commentaries, Kenny Powers: Greatest Hits featurette, Schaeffer Motors Commercials, deleted scenes, outtakes, Stevie's Dark Secret featurette

For people who would say hi to their respective mothers if asked by Mark Wahlberg: Entourage: The Complete Fifth Season

Speaking of HBO, if there's one series that really has overstayed its welcome, I'd be willing to bet most would choose Entourage, that once funny dramedy series that premiered over five years ago to rave reviews and soon-to-be rabid fans. Then successive seasons grew hella long, its star bowed out of Broadway on account of eating too many thermometers or something, and all went down the shitter.

Season five hits stores today, with season six already three episodes deep on HBO.

Disc includes: The Celebrity Factor featurette, audio commentaries
