Friday Box Office Analysis

Four new films enter theaters Friday, three leave as moderate successes.
Four Brothers
John Singleton's latest effort was met with a solid $7.1 million Friday. The questions for this weekend's films is how well they're going to hold up over the rest of the weekend. Four Brothers may be the best candidate for a decent internal multiplier, but I don't expect any stellar figures for any of them. We'll give it a 2.8 for the weekend, which would indicate a total of $19.9 million.
Skeleton Key
The 183rd horror film released in 2005 took in a good $6 million Friday, ahead of most estimates. Being a horror film, it's a little less likely to keep that pace up over the rest of the weekend. A 2.6 multiplier would give the Kate Hudson movie $15.6 million for the weekend.
Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo
The Rob Schneider sequel opened to $3.4 million Friday. That's almost a million dollars below the opening figure that Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo took back in December of 1999 (sheesh), but as we've seen with recent comedy sequels this year, things can get much, much worse. Deuce managed a 2.78 multiplier back in the day, and we'll slide that back a little to a 2.7 here, good for a $9.1 million weekend.
The Great Raid
In under 900 theaters, The Great Raid managed just a little over $1 million Friday. It might find itself completely out of the top ten with $3 million when the weekend estimates come in.
Notable Holdovers
The Dukes of Hazzard falls 65.9% from last Friday. You're all shocked by that figure, I know. Anyway, the decline might be able to get under the 60% range, but not by much. Figure around $13.1 million for Bo and Luke in their second weekend.
