Farrelly Bros. ready for some Heartbreak
Bobby and Peter Farrelly are in final talks to both rewrite and direct The Heartbreak Kid for DreamWorks. The romantic comedy is a loose remake of Neil Simon's 1972 film. The movie centers on a man who meets a woman he believes is perfect, then quickly marries her. The problem is, he falls in love with someone even better on the honeymoon.
Previously, various other directors, writers and actors had been attached to the project. Most recently, James Bobin was going to direct Jason Bateman and Amy Poehler, but the Farrellys would start with all new talent.
The Heartbreak Kid is likely to be the next film the Farrellys work on.
