Horror update adds two more
Danielle Panabaker and Joe Anderson joined the cast of The Crazies, a remake of George A. Romero's horror 1973 film. In it, Panabaker will be a receptionist at the town's medical center, while Anderson will be the town's deputy.

Timothy Olyphant weds Radha Mitchell in George Romero update
Radha Mitchell will star with Timothy Olyphant in The Crazies, an Overture Films update of the 1973 George Romero film. In it, Mitchell will play Olyphant's wife. Breck Eisner is directing from a script penned by Ray Wright (who is working from an earlier draft by Scott Kosar).

Anderson goes Crazy for Paramount
Brad Anderson, who previously teamed with screenwriter Scott Kosar on The Machinist, will direct Paramount Pictures remake of the George Romero horror film The Crazies. The movie will update the storyline of the 1972 original for modern days. The first film centered on residents of a small Pennsylvania town who become inundated with death and insanity after a plane crashes and looses a secret biological weapon into the water supply.
