Summit Entertainment reboots family comedy
Scratch what was said nearly five years ago. Brendan Fraser will star in Furry Vengeance, a live-action family comedy now being directed by Roger Kumble. The Summit Entertainment project is expected to start production by early summer.

Carell headlines Furry Vengeance
Daily Show alum Steven Carell, who is just coming off a well-received supporting stint in Anchorman, will star in the New Line project Furry Vengeance. Based on a spec script by Mike Carnes and Josh Gilbert purchased in June, the movie tells the story of a cutthroat real estate developer who finds himself meeting his match when he encounters the animals whose homes will be destroyed if he manages to turn their woodsy homes into a housing development.
