Gyllenhaal and others find Stranger Than Fiction
Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to star opposite Will Ferrell in Stranger Than Fiction, the next film from director Marc Forster (Finding Neverland). The screenplay was written by Zach Helm and centers on an IRS auditor (Ferrell) who discovers that he is hearing narration as he moves through his daily life. Naturally, no one else can hear this voice, and it begins to affect him deeply - including his work life and his romantic world.
Queen Latifah and Emma Thompson also are onboard, with Thompson set to play an author suffering from writer's block and Latifah as a book-company employee. Gyllenhaal will be Ferrell's love interest, a baker with anarchist leanings.
