Bartha ready to Launch
Justin Bartha has signed for a role in Failure to Launch for Paramount Pictures. He'll star alongside Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker and Zooey Deschanel in the comedy about a 30-something (McConaughey) determined to continue living in his parents' home. When he meets the girl of his dreams, he begins to suspect that his parents may have set the whole thing up in order to get him out of their house. Bartha will play a friend of McConaughey's character.

Deschanel has Failure to Launch
Zooey Deschanel has joined the cast of Paramount Pictures' Failure to Launch, where she'll star along Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker in a comedy about a 30-something guy who would do anything to just keep living in his parents' home, though they're desperate to get him to leave. When he finally comes across his dreamgirl, he becomes suspicious that his mother and father have engineered the whole thing.

Sarah Jessica Parker joins Failure to Launch
Sarah Jessica Parker will co-star in Paramount Pictures' Failure to Launch, a comedy that will be directed by Tom Dey and that features Matthew McConaughey in the lead role. He'll play a 30-something who lives with his parents and uses them as an excuse to avoid a committed relationship with a woman. He changes his mind when he meets the woman of his dreams, but has a sneaking suspicion that his folks might have hired her in an effort to get him out of their house.

Written by TV veterans Tom Astle and Matt Ember, the movie centers around a 30-something man who starts to suspect that his parents have set him up with the love of his life with the intent of getting him to finally move out of their house.

Paramount Pictures and producer Scott Rudin have purchased the pitch Failure to Launch for a number in the six figures. The comedy pitch, from screenwriters Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember, centers around a 30-something man who lives with his parents and uses them as a means to sabotage his own relationships. When he falls in love with the woman of his dreams, he suddenly starts to suspect that his parents have hired her so that they can get him out of the house.
