Curran to direct The Painted Veil
John Curran (We Don't Live Here Anymore) has signed to direct The Painted Veil for Warner Independent Pictures. Ed Norton has already signed to star in the film, and Naomi Watts is in negotiations to play a major role. The story is based on a novel by W. Somerset Maugham and follows a doctor and his adulturous wife when they move to China to combat a cholera outbreak.
