Kidman will play Arbus in biopic
Nicole Kidman will portray the seminal American photographer Diane Arbus in Fur. Considered one of the major American photographers of the 20th century, Arbus was widely known for her strange, disturbing images. She ended her own life in 1971.
Steven Shainberg (Secretary) will direct the film from a screenplay by Erin Cressida Wilson. The script will be adapted from the Patricia Bosworth book Diane Arbus: A Biography. Robert Downey Jr. is also set to star in the film.

Morton has Fur
Samantha Morton is in talks to play American photographer Diane Arbus in a biopic of her life set to be tilted Fur. Steven Shainberg will direct. Arbus is considered one of the most talented American photographers of the 20th century and was particularly known for images that were unsettling and bizarre. She committed suicide in 1971. Erin Cressida Wilson, who wrote the Secretary script for Shainberg, reunites with the director as she handles this screenplay as well. She is adapting the project from the Patricia Bosworth book Diane Arbus: A Biography.
