Miramax gets Sprung!
Miramax has pacted with Pathe Pictures Intl. to pick up distribution rights to the animated feature Sprung! The Magic Roundabout. The film is currently in post-production and should be completed in January. It is based on the UK puppet TV series by the same name.
The movie centers around four unlikely protagonists who must take on the duty of recovering three magic diamonds so that they can reverse a brutal winter and send the evil ice sorcerer Zeebad to his underground prison. Voice talent in the film includes Tom Baker, Jim Broadbent, Joanna Lumley, Bill Nighy, Ian McKellen, Robbie Williams, Ray Winstone and Kylie Minogue.
