Electra joins the Dozen
Carmen Electra has joined the cast of Cheaper by the Dozen 2, where she'll co-star with Steve Martin, Hilary Duff, Bonnie Hunt and Eugene Levy. Electra will play the wife of Levy, a super-competitive guy with a perfect young blond family. She'll portray his second wife and a former actress.

Duff back for Dozen 2
Hilary Duff has signed to reprise the role she originated in Cheaper By the Dozen in a sequel to that film. She'll star along with Steve Martin and Eugene Levy. This time around, the story will have Martin's kids facing off in a competition against Levy's perfect family of blond children.

Levy to re-team with Martin
Eugene Levy, who previously worked with Steve Martin in Bringing Down the House and Father of the Bride II, has joined the actor in the sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen. Levy will play a corporate warrior with a type-A personality. His eight perfect blond children are pitted against Martin and his family at an annual neighborhood competition. Adam Shankman will direct.

Cheaper by the Dozen sequel coming together
Adam Shankman will once again join forces with Steve Martin as the two come together for a sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen. Pre-production will start immediately, and the screenplay is again by Sam Harper. The movie will follow the 12-kid family as they head out for vacation and find themselves in competition with a family that has eight children. Bonnie Hunt and Piper Perabo are in talks to return, but Hilary Duff is questionable at this point.
