Cast lines up for Linklater
Fox Searchlight Pictures has acquired North American distribution rights to Richard Linklater's Fast Food Nation, a movie he based on Eric Schlosser's non-fiction tome. The movie will be a dramatic character study about the fast food industry. Linklater and Schlosser co-wrote the script. The ensemble cast includes Patricia Arquette, Bobby Cannavale, Luis Guzman, Ethan Hawke, Ashley Johnson, Greg Kinnear, Kris Kristofferson, Avril Lavigne, Esai Morales, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Lou Taylor Pucci, Ana Claudia Talancon and Wilmer Valderrama.

Richard Linklater goes to Fast Food Nation
Richard Linklater will direct Fast Food Nation, an adaptation of the Eric Schlosser nonfiction tome about fast food and its health issues, for Participant Prods. Linklater co-wrote the script with Schlosser, and it will disparage the fast food industry and the society it tends to create.
