Robbins is Hot Stuff
Tim Robbins is in talks to take a lead role in Phillip Noyce's new political thriller Hot Stuff. The movie is based on a true story, but Robbins would play a fictional character, a police officer serving during the Apartheid era in South Africa. The movie tells the story about an ordinary man who is forced to resort to terror, and will also star Derek Luke as the saboteur, who is eventually sentenced to 24 years in prison for his attacks against the Apartheid leaders. Bonnie Mbuli will play his wife. The screenplay was written by Shawn Slovo, who is also the daughter of the murdered anti-apartheid activist Ruth First and African National Congress member Joe Slovo.
