ThinkFilm gets into a Half Nelson
ThinkFilm acquired North American distribution rights to Half Nelson as the Sundance Film Festival wound down. The film stars Ryan Gosling and Anthony Mackie in the story about a white schoolteacher and his unique relationship with his African-American student, who also happens to be a locl drug dealer. The film is a full-length version of the previous Sundance-winning short Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Gosling and Mackie in a Half Nelson
Ryan Gosling and Anthony Mackie will star in the indie film Half Nelson, which is a feature adaptation of the Sundance-winning short film Gowanus, Brooklyn. Ryan Fleck will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Anna Boden. The movie centers on a singular relationship between a white schoolteacher, his African-American student, and a local drug dealer.
