Untitled 9/11 film gets a date

Paramount has set a date for its as-yet untitled World Trade Center film. The movie will be released on August 11, 2006, which the studio says it selected to avoid any talk that they might be exploiting the tragedy for the five-year anniversary. The movie has already been under fairly close scrutiny by those who believe that director Oliver Stone might try to introduce personal politics in the mix. Nicolas Cage and Michael Pena star in the film, which is based on the rescue of two Port Authority police officers who became trapped in the building.
