Barrett goes to School
Jacinda Barrett has joined the cast of Dimension Films' School for Scoundrels. The movie is a remake of the 1960 British comedy, and already stars Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder. Barrett will play the dreamgirl of an unlucky meter reader who decides to take a confidence-building class so that he can gain the courage to win her heart. The problem comes when the class instructor decides that he wants the girl for himself. Todd Phillips (Old School) is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scot Armstrong.

Thornton and Heder go to School
Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) are set to star in School for Scoundrels for Dimension Films. The movie is a remake of a 1960 British comedy and was co-written by Todd Phillips and Scot Armstrong, who also collaborated on Starsky & Hutch and Old School. Phillips will direct. The film will feature Heder as a hapless meter reader who decides to enroll in a confidence-building class. This is all part of a great plan to win the love of his dream girl. Of course, it all goes awry when Heder's character realizes that his professor is interested in the same woman. The comedy will be released in spring of 2006.
