More join Four Christmases bandwagon
Jon Favreau (The Break-Up) and country singers Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam will star in the 2008 holiday comedy, Four Christmases, starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. The story centers on a young couple (Witherspoon and Vaughn), both of whose parents have divorced and married other people. As a result, they have to find a way to celebrate four different holidays. Favreau and McGraw will play the bullying siblings of Vaughn, while Yoakam will play a pastor and stepdad to Witherspoon's character. Sissy Spacek, Kristin Chenoweth and Robert Duvall also star.

Spacek, Steenburgen have Christmas party
Sissy Spacek (The Omen) and Mary Steenburgen (Elf) joined the cast of New Line's ensemble comedy Four Christmases, slated for a 2008 holiday release. The film revolves around newlyweds Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Vince Vaughn (Fred Claus), who decide to skip out on every family Christmas party, each having been raised in broken homes. Spacek and Steenburgen will play the respective mothers of Vaughn and Witherspoon. Kristin Chenoweth (Deck the Halls) and Robert Duvall (We Own the Night) also star.

New Line celebrates Christmas
New Line has set Victoria Jenson to direct the holiday comedy Four Christmases. The screenplay was written by Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson and concerns a young couple who both are children of parents who have divorced and married other people. This leaves them with four parental households to visit on Christmas Day. The film is probably looking at a holiday 2007 release.

New Line celebrates Christmases
New Line has picked up the project Four Christmases from Sony, which had it in turnaround. Written by Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson, the story centers on a young couple, both of whose parents have divorced and married other people. As a result, they have to find a way to celebrate four different holidays. The studio is looking to put Four Christmases in production during the spring, intending to release it during the 2006 holidays.
