Lionsgate Trades for Kline Film
Lionsgate has obtained North American distribution rights to Trade, starring Kevin Kline and directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner. Jose Rivera (The Motorcycle Diaries) adapted Peter Landesman's New York Times Magazine article about the illegal sex trafficking business. In the story, a 13-year-old girl and a Polish woman are sold into the trade in the United Sates. A Texas police officer works with the girl's brother to find her and, while doing so, discovers that his very own daughter is also involved.
