Focus Features picks September for next Coen brothers movie

The Coen brothers' next feature film, Burn After Reading, will hit theaters on September 12th. The dark comedy, starring George Clooney, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, Brad Pitt and Tilda Swinton, is about a about a CIA agent who loses the disc of the book he is writing.

McDormand to Star in Coen Comedy

Frances McDormand will star alongside George Clooney in the Coen brothers' Burn After Reading for Focus Features. The dark comedy is about the CIA and marks the fifth time that McDormand has worked with the brothers (she is married to Joel), the most recent being The Man Who Wasn't There.

Clooney and Coens to Reteam

George Clooney will team up with Joel and Ethan Coen for a third time in Burn After Reading, a spy comedy about a CIA agent who loses the disc of the book that the is writing. The trio previously worked together on O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Intolerable Cruelty. Clooney will play a killer, while Joel will direct, Ethan will produce, and both Coens will write the script. Working Title Films will produce the movie for Focus Features.
