Rockwell and friends set for Frost/Nixon
Sam Rockwell, Toby Jones and Matthew Macfadyen have signed on to star for Universal Pictures and Working Title Films in Frost/Nixon. The movie is an adaptation of the Peter Morgan play, with Ron Howard directing. The play was based on a series of television interviews granted by President Richard Nixon to David Frost. The interviews took place in 1977 and eventually culminated with Nixon's implied admission of guilt with regards to his part in the Watergate scandal. Frank Langella is playing Nixon, while Michael Sheen (The Queen) will portray Frost. Both men originated their roles on Broadway.
Rockwell will play journalist James Reston Jr., Jones is playing Hollywood producer Swifty Lazar and Macfadyen plays British journalist John Burt.
