The truth is finally out there on X-Files film title
Playing off the slogan found on a poster in the cluttered basement office of UFO-obsessed agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), the second big-screen X-Files will be called, The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Due in theaters on July 25, the flick will pick up 10 years after the first film and six years after the TV series finale.

Trio joins X-Files flick
Amanda Peet (The Whole Ten Yards), Billy Connolly (Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events) and rapper Xzibit (xXx: State of the Union) all will appear in the next X-Files movie, to be directed by series creator Chris Carter. Little is known about the movie's plot, other than that it will be a stand-alone story, and not be a "true" sequel to the original 1998 film.

Production to pick up on new X-Files flick
Production will begin in December on an untitled sequel to The X-Files, a 1993-2002 Fox television series that spawned a 1998 film. Series creator Chris Carter is attached to direct, and David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will star. The film is expected to be released on July 25, 2008.
