Rob Marshall's Nine gets a bit more Fergalicious
Fergie is in talks to join the Rob Marshall-directed musical Nine for Weinstein Co. If signed, the pop singer will play Saraghina, a woman who introduces Guido (Daniel Day-Lewis) to the world of sexuality. The role would mark Fergie's first major acting role. Her previous credits include a small role in Weinstein Co.'s Grindhouse.

Daniel Day-Lewis steps in for Javier Bardem
Daniel Day-Lewis is in talks to replace Javier Bardem in Nine, the Rob Marshall-directed musical for Weinstein Co. Bardem dropped out to fatigue from work and awards season. If signed, Day-Lewis would take over the lead role of Guido Contini, a film director who faces personal and creative crisis while balancing the women in his life. Playing the women are Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench.

Kidman, Dench dress to the Nines
Vet actresses Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench are in final talks to join the cast of Nine, a 1982 stage show based on the classic film 8 1/2 about a director (Javier Bardem) who juggles the demands of several women in his life. Other cast members in the Rob Marshall adaptation include Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and Sophia Loren. Nine is expected to begin production in September.
