Paul Bettany to play father of evolution in Charles Darwin biopic
Real-life couple Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly signed on to play one on the big screen, with Bettany portraying Charles Darwin and Connelly his wife, Emma, in a biopic about the controversial Brit author. Penned by John Collee and to be directed by Jon Amiel, Creation focuses on the scientist's struggle between faith and reason. Darwin finds himself torn between a devoutly religious wife and a growing belief that God has no place in this world. Also joining the cast are Jeremy Northam, Toby Jones and Benedict Cumberbatch.
