Dimension sees Darkness on Christmas Day
Dimension Films announced at ShowEast that rather than releasing it straight-to-video, The Darkness will now be released nationwide on Christmas Day. At this point, there is some question as to availability of screens for all of the films being released. Along with The Darkness, other films slated to open include The Flight of the Phoenix, Fat Albert, Meet the Fockers, The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Darkness headed straight-to-video
In a Variety article about the Miramax/Dimension Films upcoming release schedule, it was stated that Jaume Balaguero’s Darkness will bypass the bigscreen and will go straight-to-video/DVD. Anna Paquin stars in the horror flick.
