New Line, Walden fire up sequel
A Journey to the Center of the Earth sequel is in the works at New Line and Walden. The followup is based on Richard Outten's script, Mysterious Travels: The Lost Map of Treasure Island. In it, Prof. Trevor Anderson and his nephew embark on a trip to an island that stood as the subject of three novels: Jules Verne's Mysterious Island, Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island and Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.
