Bomb the System, shot entirely on the streets of New York City, is the first movie in 20 years to go behind the scenes into the world of graffiti art. The story centers around Blest, a 19-year-old graffiti writer who has recently graduated from high school, but has absolutely no future plans. His days are spent robbing NYC hardware stores for paint, then in the evenings, he gets high and goes out with his crew to "bomb" the streets. Blest is the most wanted writer on the NYPD Vandal Squad List, but amazingly, he's also drawing attention to himself from the local galleries.

These heady, exciting times come to a tense ultimatum when the youngest member of Blest's crew, 15-year-old Lune, is arrested and brutalized by the NYPD. As a result, Blest declares all-out war and takes his group out to tear up the town with graffiti. In the end, more than one life will be lost.

Bomb the System is the feature directing debut of 23-year-old Adam Bhala Lough, and features a young ensemble cast headed up by Mark Webber (Storytelling). It's an examination of a world rarely seen outside of the confines of New York City, where the graffiti writers and their unusual blend of art and protest reside. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
