Once I suspended every single bit of my disbelief, this movie did not disappoint. |

Putting the science aside, this is an engaging time-travel thriller. |

Much purer sci-fi movie than advertised, it offers several good performances but little memorable in terms of story. |
Deja vu features Denzel Washington as an FBI Agent who falls in love with a woman after he is sent back in time to prevent her murder.
It is produced by blockbuster master Jerry Bruckheimer and helmed by veteran director Tony Scott. Initially, Scott dropped out of the production due to logistical concerns as some of the film was to be shot in still recovering New Orleans. But upon reassurances he was persuaded to continue on as the director.
The film reunites Scott and Denzel Washington, who have worked together previously on such successful films as Crimson Tide ($159 million) and Man on Fire ($118 million). The film also stars Jim Caviezel and Adam Goldberg.
With the names attached we have a feeling this could be a winner…but we’ve been wrong before. (D. James Ruccio/BOP)
