Just not very good. Sort of ABC Family in feel. |

Surprisingly charming teen flick is a much sunnier production than the title would logically imply. |

Not a single laugh, and some of the worst acting in a major studio release. |
No doubt capitalizing on his Desperate Housewives fame, Jesse Metcalfe plays the title character, the big man on campus and high school lothario. He's the captain of the basketball team and most popular guy in school. All the other guys want to be him, and all the girls want to date him, which is exactly what three of them are doing at the same time. When they find out they plot revenge by trying to get him to fall in love with a new girl and then having her dump him.
It's another in the long line of high school comedies where a relationship starts for alterior motives (She's All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, Whatever it Takes,...) I wonder if perhaps the two protagonists might really fall for each other of the course of the movie. Still it looks like harmless fun with shirtless Jesse Metcalfe for the girls and some girl-girl kissing for the boys. (Dan Krovich/BOP)
