This list is comprised of several movies whose twist endings I found unsatisfying. Buried, on the other hand, has a twist that is right in line with the rest of the story and works brilliantly as well |

This is surprisingly watchable for a single location movie, but so frustrating in that Reynolds' character just isn't smart with his phone. |
A Lionsgate purchase from the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Ryan Reynolds is Buried (alive).
The film, from Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes, stars Reynolds as a contractor working in Iraq who wakes up in a coffin, with no idea how he got there. He has light and a cell phone but a limited amount of air. He tries to piece together what happened to him and also needs to try to escape before he runs out of time. We can safely assume that if you are claustrophobic, this is not the film for you.
While much of the film focuses on Reynolds, the film also stars Samantha Mathis and Stephen Tobolowsky.
I would expect a limited release for Buried, as the film is probably too gimmicky for mass audiences. (Tim Briody/BOP)
