Apparently, Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to make a new career out of starring in remakes of Asian horror films. Since the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, her work in The Grudge has been her biggest success. Now, she'll star in a loose adaptation of the 2002 Korean horror film Jungdok.
In the film, Gellar will play a woman whose husband and brother-in-law are in a freak car accident. Both men are in comas, and when her brother-in-law awakens, he believes that he is her husband. Creepy and weird things happen from there.
Addicted has been through multiple reshoots, which doesn't particularly bode well for its quality. Still, it sounds like an intriguing enough premise, which should lead to some pretty solid interest from the horror crowd. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
