For 2005, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck decided that they would take Project Greenlight in a different direction than was shown in the first two films that came about as a result of the contest. The first film, Stolen Summer, was a drama that dealt with religion, while the second, The Battle of Shaker Heights, was a dramedy that received stronger reception than the first. For the third outing, the judges went with a film from the horror genre. Wes Craven produced, giving the whole thing an air of authenticity.
The script came from contest winners Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston, and is set during a snowy night at a local bar. A diverse set of patrons struggle to survive the evening as a hungry family of flying beasts is determined to have them for dinner.
The movie has a pretty decent cast, including liar Henry Rollins, the seemingly long-missing Balthazar Getty, Krista Allen and Jason Mewes, who'll be without Silent Bob for this outing. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
