Ugly people don't deserve love until they pretty themselves up. Duh. |
Like everyone else on the face of the planet, we keep wishing for Paris Hilton to go away. Why won't she just oblige us?
For some reason, certain studio suits still think it's a good idea to cast her in films. What they don't realize is that if she's not being killed a la House of Wax, we don't want to see her. And we barely wanted to see her in the slasher film.
Even so, she's one of the key stars of The Hottie & the Nottie, yet another movie to take the ugly duckling story and run with it. In the movie, Hilton plays a hot girl who has had a young man pining after her for years. When he finally gets his chance with her, he learns that his obstacle is Paris' best friend - an ugly girl who she insists on spending all her time with. In fact, Paris won't go on a date unless he finds one for the ugly friend, too. Needless to say, our young hero faces quite a challenge and even when he pays guys off, it ends in disaster.
What he realizes is that he needs to change his approach. He just needs to give poor ugly girl a makeover. Once she looks better, people will like her. Clearly, he's been watching Beauty & the Geek. But something happens while he is transforming this "nottie". He realizes that he is totally charmed by her, and soon realizes that perhaps he was never meant to be with Paris, likely because he's been living on a remote island for a period of several years and knows nothing about her.
