Vince Vaughn is a serious name in comedy. Audiences have a certain confidence in his ability to deliver high quality funny stuff when his name is attached. Now, he'll look to really follow through on such promise with the release of Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show, a movie that will follow a bit in the footsteps of stuff like Blue Collar COmedy Tour and to a lesser degree, Dave Chappelle's Block Party.
The show follows Vaughn as he hand picks four new and up-and-coming comics and takes them on a 30-city, 30-day, 30-concert tour. Vaughn emcees the show, and audiences will see both behind the scenes and in-performance footage. Additionally, there will be a number of surprise guests to make an appearance.
This concert film will be released only to a limited number of theaters, but should strike a chord amongst fans of comedy shows. Vaughn's name should lend some credibility, which might make this a surprise hit. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
