Fair to middling Eastwood, but still enjoyable |

I should have counted the number of times I rolled my eyes during this movie. It would have been...a lot. |

Angry film features poorly illustrated, stereotypical characters. Eastwood's worst work in many moons. |

Clearly written by a rookie, the dialogue and message is way too obvious, with most of the acting not much better. |
It's easy to forget how many films Clint Eastwood has directed in his historic career. 2008 is expected to see the release of his 27th and 28th directorial efforts. The first to be released is Changeling, and the second is Gran Torino.
Eastwood will also star in this film, set to be about a Korean War vet, who tries to reform his neighbor after he attempts to steal his prize possession, the titual Gran Torino (that would be a car, for those still confused).
As with most recent Eastwood projects, (Million Dollar Baby went from a two sentence description to eventual Best Picture winner in the span of less than two months) there are no other details as of this writing as it is still in the pre-production stage. But needless to say, Eastwood has been one of the most consistent directors of the decade, with three of his last four films earning both Best Director and Best Picture nominations. We expect no less quality from him on both of his 2008 projects. (Tim Briody/BOP)
