If Margaret Cho can do it then by God, so can Sarah Silverman.
The foul-mouthed comedian seeks to disprove the notion that she is a one joke comedian with this, the theatrical adaptation of her off-Broadyway show. The movie will be more that, though. It also will intersperse narratives from the actress and even a couple of music videos. The goal is to be as cutting edge and avant garde as possible.
Reviews of the play were largely positive. Many critics hailed her as a genius after viewing the project. It bears noting, however, that a lot of them described themselves as having lowered expectations going in. Silverman's fanbase, the core demographic for the film, might prove harder to please.
