Apparently I am not immune to Owen Wilson's charms: I really liked this stupid, throwaway movie. |

A surprise, this becomes really watchable about 40 minutes in. |

Why do you want to hurt me, Owen? |
After finding huge success during the summer of 2005 with the raunchy comedy Wedding Crashers, Owen Wilson now joins forces with the quirky sibling director team of Anthony and Joe Russo (Arrested Development) for a new and funny-sounding project.
Kate Hudson and Matt Dillon star as Molly and Carl Peterson, a pair of newlyweds. When Carl's best man Randy Dupree (Wilson) moves in with them temporarily as he is unemployed, the couple soon find all of their relationship issues boiling up to the surface. Things only continue to get worse when the Petersens realize that Dupree's stay might not be so brief after all.
This film should provide an excellent test of whether Wilson's star has gathered enough steam and goodwill from Wedding Crashers to allow him to truly carry a project on his own. In the past, he's been teamed with other key players such as Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jackie Chan. BOP is certainly a big fan of his work, so we'll be excited to see how this one turns out.
