For the first time ever, teen sensation Hilary Duff will star alongside her sister Haylie Duff (Napoleon Dynamite). The real-life siblings will portray cosmetics company heiresses who find themselves in the midst of a scandal.
Hilary will play Erin Gibbons and Haylie will portray Nicole Gibbons, socialites who enjoy a comfortable, wealthy life thanks to the millions upon millions of dollars that their family's cosmetics company earns. Soon, the girls find the company in the midst of a scandal, and they lose everything in the process. Still, the girls are fighters, and they set out to find the person really responsible for what happened to put them in such an uncomfortable position. If we know our formulaic teen movies, the likeliest culprit would appear to be Anjelica Huston, who portrays the head of a rival cosmetics company. Additionally, Brent Spiner takes a break from being asked stupid questions about Star Trek: The Next Generation to play the CEO of the girls' embattled company. Lukas Haas will also co-star as an attorney at a clinic who offers the girls some assistance.
The most important question, of course, is whether Hilary will be re-making the Madonna tune that serves as the inspiration for the film's title. It's all about synergy in the movie/music business, after all. Hilary will in fact sing the song for the soundtrack, and it will probably be a huge, adorable hit. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
