Poor Graham (Eduardo Noriego) suffered an accident while he was doing some fancy martial arts moves. It caused him to have total memory loss and now he also lacks the ability to form new memories. He keeps a notebook attached to his wrist so he can remind himself what he’s been doing. Sounds a little like Memento.

But since this is a French film, the filmmakers take the story in another direction – sex. Every time he makes love to a woman, it’s like a one-night stand. This pleases the new office intern, Irene (Anna Mouglalis), very much. She is quite taken with Graham and takes advantage of his condition. Every time in the sack with Graham is like the first time and because of his problem, he is always willing to try new tricks in the bedroom each time they are together.

This film from director and co-screenwriter Jean-Pierre Limosin (along with Christophe Honore) follows the recent fad of movies about memory and romance, like 50 First Dates, The Notebook, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The film had its world premiere at the 2002 Locarno International Film Festival and has been seen on the festival circuit. IFC picked up the U.S. distribution rights after it was shown at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival. (Marty Doskins/BOP)
