A freaky combination of Bourne Identity, Mission: Impossible and the James Bond series, Daisy Scarlett: Semper Occultus is a spy story with a woman as its protagonist. With stuff like Alias, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Final Fantasy X-2 proving that people like it when girls kick ass, this unique project certainly looks to capitalize on that same audience segment.
The story will center around M16 agent Daisy Scarlett, a woman who looks like an uber-violent real estate agent. The character was specifically designed around the look of Welsh model/actress Helen Shan, who bears a striking resemblance to Catherine Zeta-Jones. Daisy will be investigating a series of organ thefts, leading her to a dictator who is harvesting them for his own personal transplant.
Acting talent already attached to the film includes Jet Li and Jason Statham, who have previously worked together on the sci-fi adventure The One. Though the role of Daisy has yet to be cast, rumored possibilities have so far included Geri Halliwell, Sharon Stone, Kelly Brook (The Italian Job), Charlize Theron, Rachel Weisz, and Jennifer Aniston. Relative unknown Iris Bahr will portray the villainess, FBI Agent Josephine Mackenna.
