Position Staff In Brief
1/25 Max Braden Other than a slow start, this was the funniest comedy of the year.
15/60 Les Winan Wilson and Vaughn bring the funny, but the movie sputters in the third act, slightly spoiling something near-great.
33/85 Kim Hollis I'm biased due to my love for Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, but it's a raunchy film with a sweet heart.
56/166 David Mumpower Vince Vaughn does 'ridiculously annoying' far too well. His role in Made took me out of the movie and it happens again here. The rest of the film is fantastic.

Vince Vaughn has had some pretty decent luck when it comes to working with members of the Wilson family. After a cameo in the Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson comedy Zoolander, Vaughn went on to share top-level billing with Luke Wilson in Old School. Vaughn's next big-budget project was the role of the villain in the Stiller/Owen Wilson parody of Starsky & Hutch. It seems as though Vaughn is now permanently part of that inner circle, as he will follow up the Ben Stiller film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story with a movie that pairs him with Owen Wilson, The Wedding Crashers.

The film will be about two partying divorce attorneys who have figured out the jackpot method for meeting women -- they crash weddings. Though the guys have happy-go-lucky lives, that all changes when one of the two (Wilson) unexpectedly falls in love with a bridesmaid (Rachel McAdams). Things are complicated even further when our heroes discover that the object of Wilson's affection is the daughter of the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury (Christopher Walken).

Sounds like the perfect recipe for plenty of pratfalls, one-offs and self-deprecating humor. Since Wilson is a particular BOP favorite, The Wedding Crashers will be high on our list for must-sees of 2005. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
