If movies such as Hearts in Atlantis, My Girl and A Little Romance have taught us nothing else, it's that romances between kids can be poignant and charming. Little Manhattan hopes to follow in that tradition.
Set in New York City, the film centers around two 11-year-olds who are falling in love for the very first time. The role of the young boy will be played by Josh Hutcherson (Polar Express), and portraying his father is the West Wing's Josh Lyman - Bradley Whitford. Also on hand is Sex in the City's Cynthia Nixon.
The screenplay for the film, which is in production as of June 2004, was written by Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, who also collaborated on the Kirsten Dunst film Wimbledon. 20th Century Fox already has a distribution deal set in place. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
