Chazz Palminteri knows a thing or two about typecasting. Any time a tough guy is needed for a mob movie, the studios know button to push on speed dial.
Now, Palminteri is taking the bull by the horns. He has written a screenplay based on the very themes which have made him a wealthy man. The production is called 10th and Wolf. The story involves a member of a Philadelphia street gang who gets mixed up in a mob slaying. When offered the chance to avoid jail time by joining the military, the man readily accepts. When he returns home, though, he is unable to avoid the ties that bind. In order to protect his brother, the soldier must get back in bed with the very criminal elements who made him a criminal in the first place.
