After being a suspect in a gruesome triple murder, Sean Veil becomes hyper-paranoid. In order to have an impenetrable alibi if he is ever accused of another crime, Sean videotapes every single second of his life. He wears tiny surveillance cameras all over his body, has them in his home, and keeps a diligent catalog of every single move he makes in an enormous vault.
As the tenth anniversary of the crime for which he was accused approaches, Sean suddenly finds himself in jeopardy for a second time. Though theoretically he has insurance against being accused of this new murder, the one tape that would prove his innocence goes missing. In order to clear himself, Sean must go on the run so that he may fabricate the evidence of the missing hours.
The central role of Sean is played by Lee Evans, who is playing his first dramatic character ever in a movie. Best known as the pizza guy in There's Something About Mary and Jackie Chan's sidekick in The Medallion, Evans shaved his head and eyebrows for the role despite warnings that his eyebrows might not grow back. It's the feature debut of John Simpson, and made its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2004. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
