In the time honored tradition of Jingle All the Way, Elf, Christmas with the Kranks and Surviving Christmas (okay, forget that last one) comes another holiday-themed comedy. Deck the Halls, starring Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito. Kristen Chenowith and Kristen Davis are slated to co-star.
When one man decorates his house with Christmas lights so extravagantly that it can be seen from outer space, simply put, it's on. Naturally, with the excessive amounts of wattage being consumed, expect the other man to build an even more explosive display, lots of wacky hijinks to ensue and in the end everyone will manage to learn the true meaning of the holiday.
In 2004, Tim Allen's Christmas with the Kranks opened to $21.5 million in November and $73.7 million at the end. Broderick and DeVito are no strangers to comedy, so that's a worthy goal for Deck the Halls, provided it can light up audiences with an amusing trailer. (Tim Briody/BOP)
