Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres
Release Date:
April 13, 2007
Based on the cult Cartoon Network series, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters (*breathe*) takes the snarky fast food characters to the big screen, extending what works well in short form to a full-length feature movie. After the publicists for the series generated a fair amount of controversy with their poorly conceived marketing plan to put light fixtures featuring the evil Plutonians in metropolitan areas. Anyone who keeps up with the news will know that these fixtures created a huge terrorist/bomb scare as well as a large amount of ill will toward both Cartoon Network and the show itself.
Nonetheless, Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake were undeterred. Their movie would open.
The movie version of the story reveals the mysterious and heretofore unknown origins of Master Shake, Meatwad and Frylock. The movie's action will center around an immortal piece of exercise equipment that is threatening the delicate balance of the universe. Our heroes determine that their best course of action is to run away from it, while the malevolent Plutonians join forces with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past to gain control of the deadly device. Much hilarity and peril ensue.
For BOP, the most noteworthy reason for mentioning ATHFCMFFT is that Bruce Campbell provides the voice of Chicken Bittle. Still, it's a subversive little show and we appreciate their originality. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
